China ZhenHua Oil Co., Ltd. has participated in the economic construction of Iraq since Y2008 and expanded its operations up to EBS oilfield in Y2018.As a global exploration and production company, ZhenHua Oil is committed to respectful engagement with local shareholders and contribution to local economic opportunities.
Till now, EBS oil field has achieved sound progress and recruited more than 500 local employees.

In March 2022, Zhenhua Oil has signed a Scholarship Frame Agreement with Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU),one of the top petroleum universities in China, which will admit a certain number of Iraqi employees to pursue Bachelor/Master/Doctor degrees accredited by Ministry of Education of China.
 
The Scholarship Program planned that 50 of Iraqi candidates per year will be sponsored by Zhenhua Oil,The Scholarship covers tuition, air ticket, accommodation, insurance, visa and Extra monthly allowance.
 
The majors for study focused on Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, Geology, Computer Science & Technology, Finance, MBA and etc.,
The study will be full-time on-campus study also provides Internship opportunity.
 
 
Aiming to train a group of Iraqi young talents, and provide excellent education chances for those engaged in the oil and gas industry.
EBS  also reported the scholarship program to the new Chinese Ambassador to Iraq H.E.Cui Wei,who looks forward to making the Program a flagship program of bilateral Cultural Exchanges between the two countries.
 
The Program is a purely public welfare Project, which was initially created for Iraqis and is an extraordinary opportunity to build strong academic competencies in the area of study.
 
Zhenhua Oil aligns the above program with its long-term and well-established operational strategy in Iraq in order to fulfill its social responsibility and further develop mutual communication and forever friendship between the two countries.
