Scholarship

The parent company of EBS Petroleum Company Limited, China ZhenHua Oil Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZhenHua Oil") has been actively involved in the development of Iraqi Oil Industry since 2008, extending its operations to include the EBS oilfield in 2018.

In Year 2022, ZhenHua Oil launched the “ZhenHua Oil Scholarship Program” jointly with Chinese Ministry of Education, Southwest Petroleum University, providing full-scholarship for Iraqi Young Talent by ZhenHua Oil own cost to obtain higher academic degrees in China in order to support the talent cultivation in Iraqi Energy Sector.

During the Launching Ceremony of “ZhenHua Oil Scholarship”, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs/ Minister of Oil Mr. Hayyan AbdulGhani, praised the cooperation of ZhenHua Oil Company for providing the scholarship opportunities to support Iraqi Talents in Oil Industry.

01: EBS Company presented the “ZhenHua Oil Scholarship” to Iraqi Ministry of Oil and Midland Oil Company in Y 2022.

02: With great support of Ministry of Oil/ Training and Development Directorate and Midland Oil Company, the registration and enrolment of first batch- 14 students were completed on Nov 2023.

03: The Launching Ceremony of “ZhenHua Oil Scholarship Program” has been held in Baghdad on Jan 9, 2023 with attendance of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs/ Minister of Oil, H.E. Deputy Ambassador of China and Deputy General Manger of ZhenHua Oil.
